Getting Started

Registering
The candidate has to obtain a Skills Card, an ICDL Registration Document that is provided at no cost by MCIT and available at the assigned ICDL accredited center. The Skills Card is an A4 sheet that is used to record all successfully completed modules. It includes space for the student's personal details.
(including ID number). Only an accredited Test Center can carry out testing. Test Centers are accredited by UNESCO Cairo Office and monitored by both MCIT and the UNESCO Cairo Office.

Training

Candidates receive the ICDL training at the accredited ICDL Center present nationwide.  Only these centers may use the ICDL name, concept and syllabus accredited by the ECDL Foundation.

Testing

As soon as students are ready, they go to the assigned testing center to prove their ability. ICDL Egypt Testing Centers use ICDL approved testing materials.

Certification

The ICDL Core Certificate is awarded when all seven module tests have been successfully completed. The certificate will NOT be issued immediately by the Test Centre. MCIT will issue the certificate and pass this on to the Test Centre. The Candidate will collect the certificate from the Test Center where s/he is assigned to. There is no fee involved in issuing the ICDL certificate. Candidates should refund the insurance fees from his/her center when he/she receives the ICDL certificate.
